Hi there everybody! For those of you who are new to the blog… I do a tip of the hat/wag of the finger to those media outlets who got it right (or got it wrong) when covering P!NK Tributegate.

Because there are so many media outlets that reported false things about me (and will not change their reporting even though they are aware of the circumstances), “Confessions of a Bad, Ugly Singer” is a crucial forum for me.

I’m a professional singer who has put food on the table from singing, so obviously the “bad, ugly singer” nonsense isn’t gonna fly with me… Now if someone wants to express an opinion on my voice that is fine. Not everyone is going to like me… but at least show a clip of me singing and let the reader decide. I have professional credits spanning two decades and I think it’s fair for that to be included in the reporting!

Popdust did me a solid! I loved Ellie’s reporting for a few reasons… first, she wrote about me as an actual person… and a professional. The Popdust called out the age shaming for what it was… complete and utter bullshit.

Seriously guys, the age shaming needs to go… it’s not ok. Popdust recognizes that the 40’s kick ass and take names…. and they gave me a voice to let the world know that the New York Post said things about me that were not true. That was a good day.

Not to mention this quote, which is epic and sums up how I feel about this entire situation”.

“…a lawsuit so ridiculous that it could have been pulled out of the plaintiff’s own asshole.”

Everyone tip your hat to Ellie Calder and Popdust!
