Just wanted to take a moment to thank everyone who has stopped by Confessions of a Bad, Ugly Singer this year! We’ve had close to 2500 people from 45 countries visit this site. I thank everyone who has taken time to hear my story. When I first started this blog back in April of 2014, it was simply to get through life. What I went through in the legal system and mainstream media was shocking. It still shocks people to this day when the learn about my situation for the first time.
Processing everything was so difficult. At one point, I considered checking myself into an inpatient health care center for severe trauma issues, due to being dragged into the legal system, then defamed by the press. The trauma was so severe however, that I was having difficulty performing simple tasks…even just something as simple as making a phone call or filling out paperwork seemed like such a Herculean task. I did what I could, what felt familiar. I started writing. It literally saved me.
Sometimes I would write about the lawsuit, sometimes the media… sometimes I would just tell cool stories from my years in the New York City music scene. My own stories never cease to amaze me. 22 years here have given me experiences I couldn’t have elsewhere. Although I am looking forward to creating new stories in 2016. I’m still figuring out the direction of this blog….if there is one.
I hope by sharing my story, we can all learn the fundamentals of the legal system. I hope more citizens will take an interest in reforming the system, so innocent people can’t be dragged into it. I hope to see legal education in schools. I hope that this absolutely insane chain of events I experienced does somebody, somewhere an ounce of good. I hope others that get dragged in will find the strength to fight in the name of creating a justice system that does it’s job…serve justice!
I wish you all a frivolous litigation free 2016!
